Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Bitron Electronics Division, in partnership with BSS-ONE, announced the creation of 100 jobs at BSS-ONE's centre in Iasi by the end of October 2017. Bitron specialises in R&D, manufacturing and sales of electronic systems and devices for the automotive, medical and energy industries.
The new positions include software developers, electronics software testers, mechanical aerospace-mechatronic engineers, and electronics hardware designers.
BSS-ONE was established in 2008, in Iasi, at which time the company offered call centre services for Romanian and Italian markets. It had a small development centre specialised in Systems, Applications & Products in Data Processing.
As of July 2017, Bitron electronics Division employs an estimated 1530 people worldwide. Bitron's partner BSS-ONE employs 122 members of staff across four centres in Republic of Moldova (Chisinau), Romania (Iasi) and Italy (Milano and Torino) that specialise in software development, apps and telecommunications.
