Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Ficosa, a company specialised in the manufacture of parts and accessories for motor vehicles, is going to hire 100 engineers for its technological centre located in Viladecavalls (Barcelona). This centre currently employs 670 engineers. The company aims to reinforce the work team of engineers with a view to lead the technological transformation in the field of assisted driving, autonomous vehicle and electronic mobility. Ficosa's manager Javier Puyol stressed that this business expansion has been favoured by the capital and business alliance with the multinational Panasonic, which owns 69% of the shares.
