Leroy Merlin, a French worldwide home improvement and gardening retailer, has announced that two new stores will be opened in 2018 in the cities of Loulé and Leiria, which will create 300 new jobs. The store in Loulé in the Algarve region is set to open in early 2018, while the Leiria store opening is scheduled to take place in the first six months of 2018. There are vacancies for the roles of cashier, salesperson and logistics operator, among others. The exact timeframe for when the jobs will be filled is not known, though recruitment is reported to be underway.
