Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Logistics company ArrowXL has announced plans to create 50 new jobs as it expands its warehouse facilities. The Wigan based business currently employs 460 and has just completed work on its new pallet racking system, which will double the facility's capacity. The exact timeframe for the new jobs has not been announced, though it is being reported that the positions will be filled over the coming months. Currently the company delivers 14,000 products every day and expects this demand to increase.
