Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
German car leather upholstery manufacturer Schäfer-Oesterle opened a new production hall in Bonyhád (southwest Hungary) with a HUF 130 million (EUR 424,000) investment.
With the 1,200 square meter expansion of the originally 4,000 square meter plant, opened in 2015, production is projected to increase by 25% and the workforce will rise from 300 to 400 people.
Schäfer-Oesterle will continue the expansion of its business in Bonyhád: the major and the company's executive director already signed an agreement regarding the opening fo another 1,000 square meter production hall.
The Bonyhád factory currently produces 2,200 car interior parts daily, used by car manufacturers Audi, BMW, Lamborghini, Porsche, Rolls-Royce and Bentley.
