Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
German industrial manufacturing conglomerate Siemens laid the foundation stone of its Budapest turbine blade manufacturing plant. Located at the Siemens Power and Gas facility, the 10,000 square meters new plant will start production in 2019, after an invertment of HUF 10 billion (EUR 32,6 million). The investment also includes the expansion of an already existing building by 2,500 square meters.
The new facility will create 150 new qualified jobs. 50 people are already being trained in Berlin and soon 9 more will join them.
Siemens employs around 3,000 people in Hungary.
