Lloyds Banking Group has announced that it is to close its call centre in Dundee which will result in the loss of up to 252 jobs. The Dundee site will close from 8 December 2017. It is understood that the work will be taken on by the company's contact centre in Dunfermline, approximately 70 km away. Unconfirmed reports suggest that up to 225 staff may be offered the opportunity to relocate to the Dunfermline operations, yet other reports suggest that staff have all been informed that they are at risk of redundancy.
