Parent company of fashion retailer Jacques Vert has been sold to Calvetron Style Holdings, a company backed by three entrepreneurs. The sale of the business has secured the future of 1,272 jobs in the UK and 1,719 jobs worldwide. However, there will be 272 job losses, with the majority of these based in the UK. There will be 98 job losses from the head office in Shoreditch, London, as well as losses from the warehouses in County Durham. In addition there are 17 standalone UK based stores which have not been included in the sale of the business and jobs will be lost from these sites which will close immediately.
