German-owned transportation company Metrans opened its new intermodal freight terminal in Csepel, Budapest with a 50€ million investment. The new Csepel facility creates 200 new jobs, 180 people have already been hired. It's the fourth land terminal opened by the company. Located at an important hub on the river Danube, the 165,000 sqm terminal will play an important role connecting water, railway and road transportation of containers and will also provide maintenance and repair services for containers.
Metrans employs 1500 people altogether.
