Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The metallurgy company Phoenix Contact Wielkopolska, a subsidiary of Phoenix Contact group, has announced that it will create 500 new jobs at its production facility in Nowy Tomyśl (Kostrzyń and Słubice Special Econimic Zone, Poland). The company has already finished the construction of two new halls.
Phoenix Contact was founded in 1923 in Germany. The company provides components, systems and solutions in the area of electrical engineering, electronics and automation. Currently, the company has production facilities in Germany, Argentina, Brazil, China, Greece, India, Poland, Sweden, Turkey and the US and it employs about 15,000 people worldwide.
Phoenix Contact Wielkopolska was founded in 1994. Currently, it employs about 2,500 people in Nowy Tomyśl.
