Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Software developer Ideagen has announced plans to create 50 new jobs following it eighth year of consecutive growth. Currently the company employs around 350 people and the new jobs are expected to take the headcount to just above 400. The Nottingham headquartered company will create these roles across its UK sites in Somerset, Stevenage, Glasgow and Chesterfield. Roles will be at all levels of the company from apprenticeships to management, and will include positions in sales and marketing, customer support, development, and human resources.
