Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Japanese IT specialist Fujitsu will create 225 new jobs in Portugal by the end of 2018. According to the management, the multinational wants in particular to recruit persons with strong language competencies, not only in English or French but also in many other languages, as Fujitsu provides customer support in 23 different languages. The people hired will be responsible for assisting Fujitsu's customers not only locally, but primarily abroad.
The company opened its first office in Portugal in 2004. Today the company has about 1,400 workers in Portugal.
