Pharmaceutical manufacturer MSD is to create 330 new jobs across Cork and Carlow over the next three years. The new jobs will be in technical, engineering, biochemistry, biology, quality and operations positions. MSD's Cork plant will see 210 of the new positions, while the other 120 new jobs will be based at the company's vaccine and biologics plant in Carlow. The expansion is enabled through a €280 million investment across both Cork and Carlow plants.
MSD currently employs 1,600 people in Ireland, across four sites in Cork, Carlow, Dublin and Tipperary. The company has been operating in Ireland for more than 50 years and has commercial and marketing functions in Ireland as well as manufacturing.
