Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Yanfeng Automotive Interiors (YFAI), which manufactures plastic and rubber products for the automotive industry, plans to expand the production of car interior systems in its plants in Žatec and Planá nad Lužnicí and to build a Lighthouse Centre for Europe and Africa in Planá nad Lužnicí. An investment of CZK 1.85 billion (EUR 70 million) will bring 588 new jobs, a significant part of which will be created for workers with university degrees and secondary school professions. The expected start date is June 2017.
In the Czech Republic, the multinational group Johnson Controls, which includes Yanfeng Czechia Automotive Interior Systems, has four manufacturing plants. At present, the company employs approximately 1,540 employees.
Globally, Yanfeng Automotive Interiors operates in 18 countries and employs 33,000 people worldwide.
