Zvecevo, a well-known chocolate producer, will lay-off around 100 workers in the near future due to due to organisational and financial difficulties. The company’s accounts are in red and it cannot get the ingredients necessary for production. The company has not been able to pay the employees their due salaries and its future is uncertain at the moment. Zvecevo's products are distributed to markets in North America, Australia, New Zealand, Austria, Germany, Hungary, and Switzerland. Zvecevo has long had a strong market presence both in the Croatian market and in the neighbouring countries’ markets. The factory in Pozega, where the job cuts will be made, has made the town well-known on account of the chocolate.
