Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The US group Conduent, specialised in supplier relations information activities, has announced the creation of a new call-centre in Roubaix and published 200 position advertisements to seek for employees.
Conduent is already present in the South of France where it has located its headquarter (Guilherand-Granges, Ardèche) and a call-centre (Sophia-Antipolis, Alpes-Maritimes) opened in May 2016 with 200 employees. The hired employees will be in contact with customers by phone, email or chat. According to Nord Eclair, they will probably work for an important car manufacturer. It is estimated that around 400 employees work for Conduent in France.
Conduent (95,000 employees worldwide with a turnover of $7 billion) is a spin-off of the US group Xerox (Xerox General Services).
