Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Software specialists SAP are planning to hire 150 people in Ireland by the end of the 2018.
SAP currently employ 1880 people at its locations in Dublin and Galway. While there is no firm detail on what type of jobs are being created over the next 18 months, SAP employees from work in research and development to sales and customer support. It has a varied workforce with over 40 languages spoken between them.
The German company has been in Ireland for two decades. The company's global chief executive Bill McDermott suggested that SAP could expand further in Ireland, due to the company's digital innovation.
