Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
German outsourcing company arvato Poland, a subsidiary of Bertelsmann, has announced that it will create 500 new jobs at its warehouse in Stryków. The facility is expected to be operational in October 2017, and the recruitment process will be intensified in June 2017. The restructuring programme is associated with the contract which have been signed by the company with LLP, Polish clothing retailer. According to the contract, logistics services for the e-commerce sales will be carried out for four LPP’s brands: Mohito, Sinsay, House and Reserved. In relations to the contract, arvato Poland will increase its warehousing floor space by 30,000 m2.
arvato Poland already expanded its Polish workforce earlier this year by hiring 200 people at its Katowice offices.
