Description
On 2 May 2017, German public-service television broadcaster ARD announced to cut 370 jobs in Germany by 2020.
The amount generated by TV licences fell short of expected figures dropping by €10.2 million. According to this projection, missing revenues amount to €139 million. The adjusted calculations are due to fewer citizens being liable to pay contributions. At the same time also German public-service television broadcaster ZDF announced to cut some jobs (ZDF, 2017).
