Description
On 4 May 2017, German public-service television broadcaster ZDF announced to cut 141 full-time positions in Mainz, Rhineland-Palatinate, by 2020.
Income from TV licences fell short of the expected figures which is the main reason for the job reduction measures as the expected surplus of €184 million dropped to €88 million in the ongoing contribution period.
Also German public-service television broadcaster ARD recently announced to cut 370 jobs (ARD, 2017).
