Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Software company, Globoforce, is to hire 100 new recruits over the next three years at its base in Dublin. It is expected half of the new jobs will be filled by May 2018. The roles are in "software development, software engineering, user experience, analysis, finance, customer service and customer success". The company, which specialises in social recognition platforms, currently has a workforce of 210 people in Dublin. It was established in the City in 1999.
