Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Indian giant Tata's subsidiary, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) announced office expansion at its Budapest global service center, creating 500 new jobs for highly trained young professionals. Opened in 2001, the Budapest office was Tata's first outside of India, today it operates with a 1800 strong staff of economists, engineers, IT experts and developers. According to public company records, Tata's Budapest operation achieved a net revenue of HUF 10,86 bn (EUR 34,7 million) in the fiscal year ended March 31 2015.
