Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Professional services firm Genpact has announced that it is to create 300 new jobs at its site in Glasgow over the next five years. The company, which provides various business services including processing insurance claims and risk management, is being supported by a GBP 3.1 million (€3.6 million) investment from Scottish Enterprise, the development agency of the Scottish Government. Genpact already operates across more than 20 countries and currently employs 165 staff at its Glasgow office currently specialising in wealth management and digital platforms for financial services companies.
