Description
Vinçotte, a Belgian accredited inspection and certification organisation, has announced the dismissal of 195 of its employees. The main reason behind the dismissals, according to the firm, are the need to modernise the company by increasing investments and reducing costs. The company's management states the company has failed to grow within an expanding market and is facing an increase in competition. Trade unions have announced they will undertake actions if the company refuses to withdraw its restructuring plans.
