Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Fitness and health technology company Fitbit is to create up to 200 new jobs in Bucharest by the end of 2018. The American company Fitbit was established in Romania in early 2017, after the company acquired Romanian company Vector Watch.
The Bucharest centre will operate research and development activities for products such as bracelets, watches and smart scales. The open positions are for engineering, software and test engineering managers as well as cloud software, security and android software engineers.
With an employee base of 40, the company intends to reach a workforce of 240 by the end of 2018.
