Description
The German manufacturer of pharmaceutical products Boehringer Ingelheim has announced plans to expand its production site in Vienna creating up to 500 new jobs.
Boehringer is investing €700 million in a new cell culture plant in Vienna (in the district of Meidling) which will produce biopharmaceutical drugs to meet the needs of a growing market. The new plant will go into operation in 2021. However, new employees for the planning and construction of the new site have already been hired. The company is looking for high qualified staff, including process engineers, pharmacists, laboratory technicians but also people working in sales and distribution.
Currently, Boehringer employs 1,630 people in Vienna.
Update 11/10/2021: The facility has been opened and all the staff has been hired.
