French retail chain Castorama, specialised in building materials, has announced that it will create 300 jobs at its new logistic centre in Kiełmina near Zgierz in 2017. The centre, which will have an area of 100,000 m2, is expected to be operational in mid-October 2017. Castorama plans to invest EUR 27.49 million (PLN 116.21 million). The source reports that Castorama increased sales by 10% as well as market share in Poland in 2016 and plans further expansion in the region. Last November a shop was opened in Leszno creating 110 jobs.
The company has been operating in Poland since 1994; it has 75 stores across Poland.
