Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Crist, an owner of the former Gdynia Shipyard (Stocznia Gdynia), has announced that it will create 500 new jobs in the next few months. The restructuring programme is associated with large contracts worth EUR 180 million which have been recently signed by the company. Crist is looking for production workers, especially fitters, welders, locksmiths, ship mechanists. The company is finding difficulties in finding skilled labour and it is now looking for new workers also outside Poland. Currently, the company employs nearly 1,500 people.
