Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
German international logistics company Geis has announced that it will create 400 jobs at its new logistics centre in Stryków near Łódź by the end of 2017.
Geis was founded in 1948 in Germany. The company provides services such as parcel transport, pallet and individual transport, warehouse logistics, development, production and delivery of packaging materials, transport by plane and water transport. Currently, the company employs over 6,000 people in 112 logistics centres in Europe. In Poland, the company employs over 1,200 people in 47 branches and specialised logistics departments.
