Description
Miele technika, a subsidiary of the Germany-based Miele Group, is to expand its plant in Uničov and to create about 200 new jobs during 2017. Miele will invest CZK 2.5 billion (EUR 92.5 million) into the production of home appliances, especially washers and dryers. The plant currently employs 1,500 workers. Production in Uničov is the largest within the group outside Germany. Czech branch turnover amounted to CZK 8 billion (EUR 296 million) in 2016. Year on year, this represented an expansion of 13 %.
Globally, Miele employs 20,000 people and operates 12 manufacturing sites.
