Description
Beauty products manufacturer Coty is to close its plant in Nenagh, Co Tipperary by the end of 2018, with the loss of 200 jobs. The plant closure is based on the decision to consolidate the company's production line at its plants in the UK and USA. There are no immediate job losses, but the plant is expected to be closed by the end of 2018 and redundancies will take place gradually. Staff representatives said they were seeking redundancy terms at Coty that were previously agreed at Procter & Gamble (P&G) of six weeks’ pay per year of service plus two weeks’ statutory entitlement. Coty merged with P&G in 2016.
