Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Diebold Nixdorf is to close down its Hungarian ATM mahcine manufacturing plant in Gyál, near Budapest, to consolidate and streamline its activities. Opened in 2006, the Gyál facility employs around 150. All of them will be laid-off production is phased out in the summer and activities will get relocated to Diebold Nixford's other facilities abroad. The US-based company employs around 25 thousand people in 130 countries around the world.
