Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Swedish producer of car and bike accessories Thule group has announced that it will initially create 100 jobs at its new production facility in Piła (Pomeranian Special Economic Zone, Poland). The factory, with an area of 13,500 m2, is expected to be operational in August 2017.
Thule Group produces roof racks, bike carriers, roof boxes, computer/camera/sports bags, and child related products like child bike seats, joggers, and multifunctional strollers. Currently, the company employs about 2,200 people in 10 factories and 35 offices around the world. Thule products are sold in 139 countries worldwide.
