Description
On 23 February 2017, dairy product manufacturer Hochwald Foods announced to close its site in Polling resulting in 230 job cuts. The company wants to focus more on other production sites in Germany and the Netherlands. The closure will be implemented by 31 March 2018.
Negotiations regarding a social plan with the Trade Union of Food, Baverages, Tobacco, Hotel and Catering and Allied Workers will start shortly. Furthermore, management confirmed that the company is currently in contact with investors concerning a possible takeover of the site.
Hochwald Foods is a subsidiary of Hochwald Milch. Hochwald Milch employs about 2,000 members of staff.
