Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Brico, a Belgian chain of DIY supplies has announced the dismissal of 100 of its employees. The costs saved by this measure will be used to invest in the company and increase its e-commerce services. The management states that there will be no direct dismissals. Job losses will be effected through voluntary dismissals and the non-replacement of retiring employees. In one store in Mons the staff briefly went on strike but resumed their activities shortly afterwards.
