Description
Brico, a Belgian chain of DIY supplies has announced the dismissal of 100 of its employees. The costs saved by this measure will be used to invest in the company and increase its e-commerce services. The management states that there will be no direct dismissals. Job losses will be effected through voluntary dismissals and the non-replacement of retiring employees. In one store in Mons the staff briefly went on strike but resumed their activities shortly afterwards.
