Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Lectra, the world leader in the cutting of flexible materials (clothing, airbags, armchairs, etc.) has announced to recruit 120 engineers for its headquarter in Cestas, where 650 employees already work. In 2016, its sales (€ 260.2 million) increased by 10% and its operating profit increased by 18%. "We are reaping the fruits of our efforts in the last four years", stresses the management. Lectra have recruited 650 people since 2012 and invested 9.4% of its turnover each year in research and development.
