Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
On 10 February 2017, Spanish automotive company Industrias Alegre has announced that it will create 100 new jobs within the next few months at its production facility in Biskupice Podgórne near Wrocław (Tarnobrzeg Special Economic Zone, Poland). The company is looking for technicians, machine operators, quality controllers and warehouse staff. The business expansion is associated with the company’s plans to launch a production line of components for new Ford Fiesta model. In total, the company plans to create between 250 and 300 jobs by the end of 2017.
Industrias Alegre was founded in 1953 in Valenzia, Spain; the company produces vehicle’s interior components (interior trims, instrument panels, plastic components for seats, consoles). Nowadays the company supplies its products to over 100 companies in 20 countries.
