Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
It has been reported that the Italian motor components manufacturer Ducati komponenti has opened a new production facility in the Croatian town of Ludbreg, not far from the city of Varazdin, and will create 152 new jobs over the next several months. The new facility is spread across 4,000 square metres, currently employs 32 people and cost a total of €5 million. Ducati komponenti operates as a part of Ducati Energia.
According to the Mayor of Ludbreg, the town is one of the better examples of employment growth and economic development in Croatia. Currently, more than 3,500 people are employed in this relatively small town, which amounts to an increase of 25% compared to four years ago.
