Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Ford Romania, a subsidiary of the US multinational car producer Ford Motor, plans to hire 900 persons by the end of 2017. The new employees will be working at a new production facility in Craiova. Almost 820 employees will be unqualified workers and 80 engineers and technical staff.
As of 2017, Ford Romania will start producing the SUV EcoSport model in Craiova.
Update, 12 April 2017: On 6 April 2017, Ford Romania announced that 976 new jobs will be created at the plant in Craiova. The recruitment process has started and it is set to end by 31 July 2017. Currently, Ford Romania has 2,715 employees in Romania.
UPDATED 25/07/2017: On 24 July 2017, Ford Romania announced the creation of 700 new jobs at the plant in Craiova. The recruitment process has started and it is set to end by December 2017. Currently, Ford Romania has 2,860 employees in Romania.
