Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Care provider EveryDay is reported to be creating 360 new jobs in the North East of England in order to cope with current demand and to expand into new geographical areas. The company, a social enterprise owned by Age UK North Tyneside, is based in North Shields and helps adults live independently in their own homes. The plan is for services to be rolled out across areas of South Tyneside and Gateshead. Various roles are being offered, including at managerial levels, with options for flexible working and other perks available. Recruitment has started for the new positions, though the timeframe for filling the vacancies has not been reported.
