Description
Polish meat processing company Zakłady Mięsne Olewnik has announced that it will cut 191 jobs via collective dismissal programme at its two subsidiaries (Zakłady Mięsne Olewnik-Bis and Olewnik Serwis) by the end of January 2017. On 1st January 2017, a warehouse by the plant was destroyed by a fire and the company has decided to stop production. Fire losses are estimated by the owners at PLN 100 million (EUR 22.98 million USD 24.69 million).
Zakłady Mięsne Olewnik has been operating since 1989; the company has two meat processing plants located in Świerczynek and Sierpc.
