Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The French retailer Vente-privee.com has announced to recruit 250 employees in 2017 to support its development. Vente-privee.com invents the online flash sales concept in France. It has more than 30 million member from across Europe in 8 different countries. It will double its investments in R & D innovation in 2017 and invest €80 million to remain competitive against its competitors. These funds will enable it to launch a start-up accelerator dedicated to Fashion Tech, and launch two innovation laboratories by joining two schools of the Epitech and Ecole 42. The recruitment program aimed at recruiting 250 engineers and developers, mainly for IT and e-commerce, as well as architects, database administrators, R & D managers, security experts, deployment and business operations engineers and data scientists. The company employs 3,800 people worldwide.
