Metro Bank has announced plans to create 500 new jobs as part of an expansion plan to extend its branch network. The relatively new business, which first opened on the high street six years ago, is looking to create customer facing roles as well as positions in its head office and in its online operations. The new jobs will bring the headcount to over 3,000 employees. Currently the bank operates 48 branches across London and the South East, with 12 more branches set to open imminently, including in Peterborough, Oxford and Canterbury. It is understood that these new roles will be filled throughout 2017.
