Description
Japanese cable producer Sumitomo Electric Wiring Systems (SEWS) has announced the creation of 500 new jobs at the new plant in Targu Jiu, which is expected to open in April 2017.
More jobs will come on stream later in the year. Overall about 1,500 jobs are expected to be created at the new plant by the end of 2017.
The company started operating in Romania in 2000 by opening plants in Deva (Hunedoara County), Orastie and Alba Iulia (Alba County).
