Maelor Foods, a chicken processing company based in Wrexham, has announced the creation of around 110 new jobs. The company, which operates at a former First Milk production facility, has invested GBP 10 million (€11.5 million) on a refit of the premises and is currently operational. 40 staff were recruited throughout 2016 and the new staff will be added throughout 2017, with the company aiming to be fully operational by October 2017. The next phase will involve the creation of an extension which is scheduled to open in June 2017.
