Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
On 4th of January the Deutsche Lufthansa AG, which is the Germany's biggest airline, announced their plan to hire around 3,000 workers. The required job positions are mainly for flight attendants. There are around 1,400 available position at the hubs in Frankfurt and Munich but, because the company operates a number of flights from the UAE and the rest of the Middle East, the business expansion is possibly affecting also the UAE.
Lufthansa Technik and Austrian Airlines, are part of the Lufthansa Group airlines and both are recruiting. The first one will hire 450 new staff while the second one 300 cabin, check-in and cockpit staff.
