Foxconn Slovakia is expanding its production in the industrial park in the city of Nitra, which will create between 100-160 new jobs. Of the new jobs, 20-40 will be in administration and 80-120 in production. The company will invest around €400,000 in refurbishing an unused production hall and installing two new assembly lines there, which should be completed by mid-year 2017. Foxconn assembles LCD TVs and produces printed circuit boards using the SMT technology.
Foxconn Slovakia, a registered trademark of the Taiwan-based Hon Hai Precision Industry group, was established in 2010. Foxconn is a major consumer electronics producer in the world, supplying companies such as Microsoft, Apple and Hewlett-Packard.
