Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

PPO Dema is expanding its business in the town of Senica and plans to create at least 130 new jobs there. Presently, the company employs 70 workers in Senica. Returnable transport packaging and fixation materials for non-food, food and automotive sectors made from foam, textile or board-plastic material will be produced in the new facility covering 15,000 m². The first stage of the investment, covering 6,000 m², is scheduled to be completed by the first quarter of 2017. The second and the third stage are to be completed by the end of 2017 and in spring 2018 respectively. The total value of the investment will amount to between €4-5 million. In order to improve their market position, Slovak company Dema and Czech company PPO Group CZ merged and established PPO Dema in 2015.
