Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Energy provider Economy Energy has announced that it is to expand its operations in Coventry creating 200 new jobs. The new contact centre will open in February 2017 and the company is looking to recruit staff at all levels from customer service advisers through to managerial positions. The new roles will be based in the city centre at the firm's existing base which has had a GBP 4 million (€4.6 million) refit. The jobs have been created following the company's increase in customer numbers, with currently around 200,000 customers across Britain.
