Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The management of the French subsidiary of the Danish pharmaceutical group Novo Nordisk, has announced to create about 250 position in the next four years on its site of Chartres (Eure-et-Loire) to sustain its growth. The Danish company employs currently 1,100 employees in Chartres. Over the past 15 years, it has invested €300 million on the site and hired 400 employees between 2012 and 2015. Novo distributes 13% of its production on the French market and in 2017 plans to launch a new molecule against diabetes as well as a new generation of injectable pens to support its market growth.
